Switch to OrcaFlo

Meta just raised your WhatsApp bill.

Short answer

Since 1 October 2026, Meta charges AED 0.0576 per WhatsApp reply to a UAE number after the first 1,000 a month, on top of your WATI, respond.io, SleekFlow or Interakt plan. OrcaFlo links to your WhatsApp Business app instead: no Meta fees, $14.99 a month plus 2¢ per message, and free migration help (October 2026).

Updated

Switch to OrcaFlo on the number you already use: no Meta per-message fees, $14.99 a month + 2¢ per message, and we move you over for free.

Since 1 October 2026, a business on the official WhatsApp API pays Meta for its replies after the first 1,000 of the month, on top of its WATI, respond.io, SleekFlow or Interakt plan. OrcaFlo runs on the number you already use: no Meta per-message fees. It charges its own price instead, $14.99 a month on the Starter plan plus 2¢ per message, after a 14-day free trial. If you switch, we move your contacts and set up your assistant for you at no extra cost.

What Meta changed on 1 October 2026

Meta prices the WhatsApp Business Platform, the official API, per delivered message. Replies inside the 24-hour window after a customer writes, which Meta calls service messages, used to be free. Since 1 October 2026 only the first 1,000 a month per business number are free, and Meta charges for every reply sent through the API after that, except while Meta’s free entry point window is open (after a customer writes from a click-to-WhatsApp ad). For replies to UAE (+971) numbers that is AED 0.0576 each, from Meta’s AED rate card effective 1 October 2026. Messages your customers send you stay free; marketing templates cost AED 0.2115 each and utility templates AED 0.0576.

It applies to every business on an official-API provider, whether WATI, respond.io, SleekFlow, Interakt, Gallabox or another, and it comes on top of the provider’s own plan. Some providers bill message fees through their own rate card, which can differ from Meta’s. In dirhams: a number that sends 1,500 replies a month now pays for 500 of them, AED 28.80; at 5,000 replies it pays AED 230.40. Every rate is in WhatsApp Business API pricing in the UAE.

What OrcaFlo costs instead

OrcaFlo runs on the number you already use. It links to your WhatsApp Business app by QR code, the way WhatsApp Web does, so Meta doesn’t charge per message on that connection, and there is no reseller markup because there are no Meta fees to mark up. OrcaFlo isn’t free per message, though. No plan fee for 14 days and your first 500 messages free, then from $14.99 a month + 2¢ per message. No setup fee. High-volume businesses can add a monthly message bundle, from 5,000 messages, and it pays off above about 4,500 messages a month. Every invoice comes with a payment processing fee, shown as its own line. See pricing for both plans.

The two count messages differently, so compare like with like. OrcaFlo counts both directions: your customers’ messages and the assistant’s replies (messages you type yourself on your phone don’t count). Meta charges only for messages the business sends: its templates, and its replies after the first 1,000 each month. That’s why the table below starts from all the messages in a month and works out the replies from there.

What a month costs: OrcaFlo vs WATI, respond.io, SleekFlow and Interakt

We use the same assumptions as our UAE chatbot cost guide: half the messages are your customers’ and half are AI replies, every reply goes to a UAE number inside the 24-hour window, there are no templates or broadcasts, and prices are list prices billed monthly, before VAT and taxes (and, for OrcaFlo, before the payment processing fee on each invoice). Each tool is priced on its cheapest plan with an AI agent that answers on WhatsApp, because OrcaFlo’s price includes its assistant. Meta’s fee is AED 0.0576 per reply after 1,000 free a month. Competitor prices are from their own pricing pages, as of October 2026. OrcaFlo is priced on its cheapest option at each volume: Starter paying per message, or with a monthly message bundle where that costs less (a bundle only pays off above about 4,500 messages a month).

respond.io Growth + Meta’s fee$199$207$262–412 (depends on the AI credits each reply uses; at 5 credits a reply respond.io’s 200% cap pauses the AI after 4,000 replies)

If you only use their inbox, without an AI agent

Some businesses use WATI, respond.io or Interakt as a shared inbox and answer every chat by hand. Their entry plans have no AI agent (and respond.io Starter has no broadcasts either), so they cost less than the plans above. Here is that bill next to OrcaFlo’s, which always includes an assistant that answers every message.

Messages a month (both sides)1,0003,00010,000
WATI Growth (no AI agent) + Meta’s fee$69$77$132
respond.io Starter (no AI agents) + Meta’s fee$99$107$162
Interakt Growth (no AI add-on) + Meta’s fee$55 plus taxes$63 plus taxes$118 plus taxes
OrcaFlo, cheapest option (AI included, no Meta fee)$34.99 (Starter)$74.99 (Starter)$174.99 (Starter + 10,000 bundle)

What the numbers say

At 1,000 and 3,000 messages a month, OrcaFlo costs less than the AI plan of any of the four: $34.99 and $74.99, against $134 and $153 plus taxes on Interakt, the cheapest of them. Most of that gap is the plan fee, not Meta’s new charge: at 3,000 messages Meta’s fee is AED 28.80, about $7.84. It only grows large at high volume.

At 10,000 messages a month a message bundle brings OrcaFlo’s bill down further. With the 10,000-message bundle, OrcaFlo’s Starter plan comes to $174.99, less than $247 plus taxes on Interakt, AED 784 (about $214) on SleekFlow, $311 on WATI and $262–412 on respond.io, before their extras. Paying per message it would be $214.99, less than Interakt, WATI and respond.io, and about the same as SleekFlow. A bundle is charged upfront each month and unused messages don’t roll over, so it only pays off at steady volume: below about 4,500 messages a month, paying per message costs less.

Without an AI agent the picture changes earlier. At 3,000 messages Interakt Growth costs less than OrcaFlo, WATI Growth costs about the same, and respond.io Starter costs more. If you answer every chat yourself and don’t want AI, staying may be the cheaper choice. Switching pays off when you want the assistant to answer, book and follow up for you.

Switching from WATI

WATI’s price, as of October 2026 (UAE): Growth is $69 a month billed monthly, or $59 a month billed yearly. Its AI agent, Astra, needs the Pro plan, $149 a month billed monthly ($119 a month billed yearly), plus the Astra Pro add-on at $99 a month billed monthly, for 5,000 credits a month. Extra users on Pro are from $39 a month each, and message fees follow WATI’s rate card.

At the same volume: at 1,000 messages a month WATI Pro with Astra comes to $248, against $34.99 on OrcaFlo; at 3,000, $256 against $74.99. On Growth without Astra, WATI comes to $69 and $77, so OrcaFlo, with its assistant included, is cheaper at 1,000 messages and about the same at 3,000.

What the importer brings: WATI’s contacts export, with tags, attributes (as custom fields) and lifecycle stages. WATI’s chat history export can’t be imported yet, so past conversations stay in WATI; keep that file. Read OrcaFlo vs WATI for the side-by-side, or go straight to I’m switching from WATI.

Switching from respond.io

respond.io’s price, as of October 2026: Starter is $99 a month billed monthly ($79 a month billed yearly) and has no AI agents, broadcasts or workflows. Growth, the cheapest plan with AI Agents, is $199 a month billed monthly ($159 a month billed yearly), with 10 users, 1,000 monthly active contacts and 10,000 AI credits; an AI agent reply uses 2–5 credits. Meta’s fees come on top.

At the same volume: Growth comes to $199 at 1,000 messages and $207 at 3,000, against $34.99 and $74.99 on OrcaFlo. Starter, without AI, comes to $99 and $107.

What the importer brings: contacts with tags, custom fields and lifecycle stages, and respond.io is the only one of these four tools whose own export brings past conversations across (its Messages export). They show as read-only history on each contact; the assistant doesn’t read or answer them. Read OrcaFlo vs respond.io, or go straight to I’m switching from respond.io.

Switching from SleekFlow

SleekFlow’s price, as of October 2026 (UAE page): Pro is AED 499 a month billed monthly, or AED 399 a month billed yearly, with AI agents, 10 seats and 500 monthly active contacts. Hosting a WhatsApp Business API number is AED 55 a month, and message fees follow SleekFlow’s rate card.

At the same volume: Pro with number hosting comes to AED 554 (about $151) at 1,000 messages and AED 583 (about $159) at 3,000, against $34.99 and $74.99 on OrcaFlo.

What the importer brings: contacts from SleekFlow’s CSV export: names, numbers, emails, tags and lifecycle, and any other column can become a custom field. Past conversations come across if you have them as a CSV with one message per row. Read OrcaFlo vs SleekFlow, or go straight to I’m switching from SleekFlow.

Switching from Interakt

Interakt’s price, as of October 2026 (international): Growth is $55 a month billed monthly, plus taxes; Interakt lists discounts for quarterly and yearly billing. WhatsApp AI agents are a $74.99 monthly add-on that includes 100 AI messages, then $0.011 per AI message. Message costs follow Interakt’s regional rate card.

At the same volume: Growth with the AI add-on comes to $134 at 1,000 messages and $153 at 3,000, plus taxes, against $34.99 and $74.99 on OrcaFlo. Growth without AI comes to $55 and $63 plus taxes.

What the importer brings: Interakt’s contacts export (all users or a filter), with tags, attributes and lifecycle. Past conversations can’t be imported yet. There’s no separate OrcaFlo vs Interakt page: Interakt is in our fair list of the best WhatsApp chatbots in the UAE. In Interakt the export is under Contacts (All Users) → Export, and switching to OrcaFlo walks through the import. Or go straight to I’m switching from Interakt.

Two ways to switch, depending on where your number is

Your number is in the WhatsApp Business app

Your old provider connected it with Meta’s coexistence, so the app kept working on your phone, or it’s another WhatsApp Business number you’ve used normally for at least 10 days. You can be live the same day.

Your number is on the API only

Your provider registered it on the API without coexistence, so it isn’t in the WhatsApp Business app. It has to be released and registered on the app, then used normally for 10 days before OrcaFlo links to it. Plan for at least 10 days.

Path 1: the number is already in the app (same day)

1

Export your data first

Before you cancel, download your contacts from your old tool as a CSV (and, from respond.io, your messages). Or email the files to us and we’ll do the import.

2

Leave your old provider

Disconnect the number from the API yourself, which ends coexistence: in the WhatsApp Business app, open Settings → Account → Business Platform → Disconnect account (your provider can’t deregister a number that’s also in the app). Then cancel your plan. The app on your phone keeps working, with your chats.

3

Scan the QR code in OrcaFlo

Start your trial, then on your phone open WhatsApp Business → Linked devices → Link a device and scan the code, the way you open WhatsApp Web. How it works, step by step.

4

Import, teach and go live

Upload the CSV in Contacts → Switch to OrcaFlo, add your prices and policies, and chat with the assistant yourself before you press Go live. All of it fits in one day.

Path 2: the number is on the API only (at least 10 days)

1

Export, then release the number

Export your contacts and any chat history you need first. Then ask your provider to release (deregister) the number from the API. Deleting it yourself in WhatsApp Manager also works, but only a business portfolio admin can, and Meta blocks it until 30 days after the number’s last paid message. Meta’s guide says a number registered on the Cloud API can’t be used in the WhatsApp Business app until it’s deregistered.

2

Register it on the WhatsApp Business app

Install WhatsApp Business on the phone that receives the number’s SMS and verify it. Chat history from the API isn’t in the app. Setting up the Business app has WhatsApp’s steps.

3

Use it normally for 10 days

Answer customers by hand for at least 10 days. WhatsApp watches new Business accounts closely, which is why OrcaFlo asks for an account at least 10 days old.

4

Then link OrcaFlo

Start your trial when the 10 days are up, so none of it is spent waiting, then scan the QR code and import your contacts as in path 1.

What the importer brings across

  • WATI and Interakt: contacts, tags, attributes and lifecycle stages. Their past conversations can’t be imported yet.
  • respond.io: contacts, tags, custom fields and lifecycle stages, plus past conversations from the Messages export, as read-only history on each contact.
  • SleekFlow and any other tool: contacts from any CSV with a header row, and past conversations from a CSV with one message per row, if you have one.
  • Nobody is messaged because they were imported. The assistant and follow-ups start only when that person writes to you, or when you send them a broadcast or build an automation that messages them.
  • Find it in Contacts → Switch to OrcaFlo (admins and managers): pick your old tool and it shows where that tool keeps its export (for SleekFlow, choose “Another tool / spreadsheet”). Switching to OrcaFlo, step by step walks through the import.

The trade-off, honestly

OrcaFlo links to the WhatsApp Business app by QR code, like WhatsApp Web. OrcaFlo also connects to the Official WhatsApp Business API (Cloud API), where Meta bills its own per-message fees; on the QR link it isn’t Meta’s official API or an official WhatsApp app: there’s no green tick, and WhatsApp’s terms don’t allow unofficial apps, so linking one can lead to a restriction or ban. That’s why OrcaFlo asks for an account at least 10 days old, paces broadcasts (one message every 15 minutes by default, and none between 9pm and 9am) and doesn’t message imported contacts on its own. None of this removes the risk; it lowers the odds that normal two-way business chat looks like spam.

Compared with an official-API provider you give up three things: template broadcasts to large lists, the green tick, and Meta’s official ad-to-chat features. If you depend on those, stay on the API. OrcaFlo also connects to the Official WhatsApp Business API (Cloud API) now (current status): connect it in Channels and keep using the WhatsApp Business app on the same number. Meta’s per-message fees apply, billed by Meta to your own WhatsApp Business account. More on the difference: a WhatsApp chatbot without the API.

Questions

No, the number stays yours. If it’s already in the WhatsApp Business app, OrcaFlo links to it by QR code and your chats stay in the app. If it’s on the API only, it moves back to the app first; the number comes with you, but chat history from the API doesn’t, so export what you need before you leave your old provider.
