Get alerts on your phone or computer
When your assistant hands a customer to your team, OrcaFlo can alert you on your phone or computer. Each person turns alerts on for each device they use.
Updated
iPhone or iPad
Open OrcaFlo in Safari
Notifications on iPhone only work from the Home Screen app, not from a Safari tab.
Add it to your Home Screen
Tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen, then Add.
Open it from the Home Screen
Close Safari and open OrcaFlo from your Home Screen, then sign in.
Turn on notifications
Open Notifications (in the side menu under More) and tap Turn on notifications, then Allow. Adding the app doesn’t turn alerts on by itself.
Android
Open OrcaFlo in Chrome
Optional but better: menu ⋮ → Add to Home screen, so it opens like an app.
Turn on notifications
Open Notifications (on a phone, under More in the side menu) and tap Turn on notifications, then Allow.
Computer (Chrome, Edge or Safari)
Turn on notifications
Open Notifications at the bottom of the side menu and click Turn on notifications, then Allow.
Keep the browser running
Alerts arrive whenever the browser is running; the OrcaFlo tab doesn’t need to be open.
Check it works
On the same page, click Send a test. You should get an OrcaFlo alert within a few seconds. Turn off stops alerts on that device only.
Nothing arriving?
- Check your phone isn’t on Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode that silences OrcaFlo.
- In your phone or browser settings, make sure notifications are allowed for OrcaFlo.
- On iPhone, open OrcaFlo from the Home Screen icon, not from Safari.
- Turn notifications off and on again on that device, then send a test.
Questions
Yes. Alerts are turned on per person and per device, so turn them on for each phone and computer you use.
For new businesses, OrcaFlo emails your admins when a customer is waiting for a person, so nobody is missed. Alerts on your phone are faster, so we recommend turning them on.
